Sher.ly is a software-as-a-service (SaaS) which provides secure file sharing between storage devices. It creates a virtual data room and enables closed data circulation in a business environment.
Sher.ly is designed for transfer of large files. It uses user’s own network connection, making sharing exactly as fast as the internal net. Therefore, it constitutes an alternative to other standard file sharing solutions. (e.g. ftp, public clouds, file transfer site). It is also destined to enhance internal and external collaboration within an organization, keeping all files and related communication in the same place. The Timeline feature connects data with its context, providing information about all inserted changes by any team members.
Intelligent metadata synchronization technology enables users to set preferences for sync and access per each project, kind, size, data and so on. File metadata is instantly visible meaning that users can maintain secure access to even terabytes of data, without the need to download it all.
Sher.ly uses industry standard secure encryption protocols for file transfer. It doesn’t send files to any external servers and it doesn’t host any of them, giving the files’ owner full control over the whereabouts of their sensitive data and the identity of the recipients.
All connections to and from the Sher.ly service, along with direct connections between users are encrypted using RSA 2048 bit keys and SSL TLS 1.2 connections with AES256 encryption. Sher.ly does use OpenSSL and Let’s Encrypt SSL certificates.
