Telsphere is a database-driven web application that combines Telecom Intelligence, Data Warehousing, Bill Presentation, and Reporting into one platform. Telecom Intelligence (TI) enables access to and analysis of information to improve and optimize decisions and performance across your telecom services. The driving force behind Telsphere is the aggregation and normalization of client data points into easy to manage, clear view reporting of the customers overall spending across their monthly services. Telsphere also provides a wealth of custom reporting, trending, editing, and analysis tools to further manage assets. Data discovery creates and utilizes interactive reports and explores data from multiple sources. Data warehousing enables Telsphere to store and archive your data over the lifetime of your billing processes. Telsphere is value oriented for your organization. Central data management and views from one easy to understand portal instead of multiple carrier portals and sifting through files. Telsphere provides a uniform, user-friendly experience to review, analyze, and work with the data you need.
Bill presentation for client and carrier data is the core of Telsphere. With our overview dashboard and breakdown of the carrier billing, Telsphere presents the aggregated date in a format that is easy to understand and user friendly. Users have the ability to drill down multiple layers on any type of service, any carrier, any cost center, location, site, or charge. Telsphere is also able to provide multiple ways of looking at imported data sets.
Telsphere includes custom reporting in the form of readymade reports for Accounts Payable, Inventory, Equipment, and more. It also contains a Report Builder tools that enable a user to create custom reporting on the fly. Telsphere will include the ability to save custom made user reports on the next release.
Telsphere’s data warehouse is built off a robust SQL Server database back end which resides on a RAID-10 data array built for fault tolerance and redundancy. Raw data sets from the client’s various data sources are stored on the array in secure, client-specific directories. Directories are set up based on month, year, data types, and data sources so that Telsphere can organize a client data set in a hierarchical manner. Aggregated data is also separated in the Telsphere database to avoid cross-contamination of the customer data stores.
Data Connections and Formats
One of Telsphere’s primary strengths is the ability to import data from various sources and formats and aggregate them into a consolidated and normalized database. Data transfers typically take place via secure file transfer protocol (sFTP) connection or collected directly from the provider portal. Telsphere accepts a wide variety of data formats, including, but not limited to: Flat files, XML, Raw Text, SQL, Access, Excel, ODBC, DAT, EDI, UDL, and MDF.
